Bập Bẹ là app giúp người lớn học tiếng Việt từ đồ vật quanh mình: chụp một đồ vật, nghe tên tiếng Việt và luyện nói đến khi đúng thanh. Bập Bẹ do Peakvailon làm. Liên hệ về quyền riêng tư: nguyenthithuytrang08072007@gmail.com.

Dữ liệu và mục đích sử dụng

Tài khoản: lần đầu mở app, Bập Bẹ tạo một tài khoản ẩn danh gắn với điện thoại; mã bí mật của máy nằm trong Keychain/Keystore, máy chủ chỉ giữ mã băm của nó. Khi bạn đăng nhập bằng Apple hoặc Google, Bập Bẹ lưu định danh đăng nhập, email và tên được cung cấp nếu có, cùng các phiên đăng nhập; với Apple còn lưu mã dùng để thu hồi quyền Đăng nhập bằng Apple khi bạn xóa tài khoản. Máy chủ cũng ghi lần gần nhất app kết nối, phiên bản app và nền tảng (iOS/Android), để hỗ trợ và biết khi nào ngừng hỗ trợ bản cũ.
Từ và ảnh của bạn: các từ bạn lưu, ảnh gốc bạn chụp hoặc chọn, sticker cắt từ ảnh, nhật ký học (lần luyện, chuỗi ngày, mức ôn) và lựa chọn của bạn (ngôn ngữ, giọng Bắc/Nam, mục đích học, chia sẻ từ mới, giờ nhắc). Bập Bẹ lưu chúng trên điện thoại và đồng bộ với tài khoản, để chúng theo bạn sang máy khác hoặc khi cài lại app. Ảnh và sticker lưu trên Cloudflare R2, trong thư mục riêng của tài khoản; chỉ chính tài khoản đó lấy được link tải.
Gọi tên bằng AI: khi bạn chụp, điện thoại tự cắt đồ vật ra khỏi ảnh (Apple Vision trên iOS, Google ML Kit trên Android) và chỉ gửi hình đã cắt, kèm tên tiếng Anh máy đoán, lên máy chủ Bập Bẹ; ảnh gốc không được gửi cho AI. Khi bạn gõ hoặc tìm một từ, chữ bạn gõ được gửi. Máy chủ chuyển nội dung đó qua Vercel AI Gateway tới nhà cung cấp mô hình AI để có tên tiếng Việt, nghĩa và câu ví dụ, và không lưu hình đã cắt. Kết quả và từ bạn gõ vào được giữ trong từ điển chung của app, không gắn với tài khoản nào, để lần sau trả lời ngay. Máy chủ đếm số lượt gọi AI mỗi ngày của tài khoản để áp giới hạn của gói.
Giọng nói: Bập Bẹ chấm thanh điệu ngay trên điện thoại bằng cách đo cao độ giọng, không dùng nhận dạng giọng nói. Khi bạn luyện, giọng của bạn không rời máy. Bản ghi chỉ được gửi đi khi bạn chọn Nói lại một từ của bạn bè: bản ghi đó lưu trên Cloudflare R2 và ngoài bạn, chỉ người có từ đó nghe được, trừ khi một trong hai người đã chặn người kia. Giọng đọc mẫu là giọng tiếng Việt có sẵn trong điện thoại.
Bạn bè và nhóm: tên hiển thị (tên bạn đặt, hoặc tên Apple/Google cung cấp nếu bạn chưa đặt), biểu tượng, chuỗi ngày, nhóm bạn tham gia, từ bạn chia sẻ, phản hồi (biểu cảm, điểm nói lại), ghi chú "Heard from locals" (câu tiếng Việt, nghĩa, nơi, thành phố và người nói mà bạn chọn), lượt "Useful", nội dung bạn ẩn, người bạn chặn và báo cáo kèm lý do. Bạn bè và thành viên nhóm thấy tên, chuỗi ngày và các từ bạn chia sẻ, không thấy ảnh của bạn. Từ mới được chia sẻ với bạn bè trừ khi bạn tắt Chia sẻ từ mới của tôi trong Cài đặt. Ghi chú hiện với mọi người học có cùng từ đó, kèm tên của bạn.
Kiểm duyệt: báo cáo được gửi tới đội kiểm duyệt của Bập Bẹ. Họ có thể gỡ nội dung hoặc hạn chế một tài khoản: tài khoản bị hạn chế vẫn học được, nhưng không chia sẻ được và người khác không còn thấy nó. Báo cáo giữ bản sao nội dung bị báo cáo, kể cả sau khi nội dung bị gỡ hoặc tài khoản người viết bị xóa. Mọi thao tác quản trị được ghi lại trong nhật ký quản trị; khi đội kiểm duyệt xóa một tài khoản, nhật ký giữ tên, cách đăng nhập và số liệu của tài khoản đó (không có email).
Gói Pro: Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) và RevenueCat xử lý giao dịch và trạng thái thuê bao. Bập Bẹ dùng mã tài khoản của bạn làm mã người dùng ở RevenueCat và lưu quyền Pro, thời hạn, dùng thử cùng sự kiện mua hàng để cập nhật gói. Bập Bẹ không nhận số thẻ thanh toán của bạn.
Vận hành: như mọi yêu cầu tới máy chủ, địa chỉ IP, đường dẫn, mã trả về và thời gian xử lý nằm trong nhật ký truy cập khoảng 30 ngày; lỗi máy chủ được ghi vào nhật ký ứng dụng. Để chặn lạm dụng, máy chủ đếm lượt gọi theo tài khoản và theo mã băm một chiều của địa chỉ IP, rồi xóa bộ đếm sau một ngày.

Trên điện thoại của bạn

Hình nền màn hình khóa và widget được tạo ngay trên điện thoại. Trên iOS, Bập Bẹ lưu các hình đó vào album Words trong ứng dụng Ảnh để màn hình khóa đổi hình; trên Android, hình nằm trong bộ nhớ của app và live wallpaper đọc từ đó. Widget có thể hiện từ của bạn và từ bạn bè chia sẻ. Lời nhắc học được lên lịch trên điện thoại; Bập Bẹ không gửi thông báo đẩy từ máy chủ.

Quyền truy cập và bên xử lý

Bập Bẹ xin quyền camera để chụp đồ vật, micro để nghe bạn nói và chấm thanh, quyền Ảnh (iOS) để tạo và cập nhật album Words, và quyền thông báo khi bạn bật lời nhắc. Ngoài album Words, Bập Bẹ chỉ đọc ảnh bạn chọn qua bộ chọn của hệ thống, và không dùng vị trí của bạn. Bạn có thể quản lý quyền trong Cài đặt của thiết bị.

Các bên xử lý gồm Apple (đăng nhập, App Store, tính năng hệ thống), Google (nếu bạn đăng nhập Google, Google Play, ML Kit), Vercel (AI Gateway) và nhà cung cấp mô hình AI được dùng, Cloudflare (mạng và lưu trữ R2), RevenueCat (gói Pro), cùng hạ tầng máy chủ của Bập Bẹ. Các bên này có thể xử lý dữ liệu ngoài quốc gia của bạn và áp dụng chính sách lưu trữ riêng.

Bập Bẹ không bán dữ liệu cá nhân, không hiển thị quảng cáo và không dùng dữ liệu để theo dõi bạn trên app hay website khác.

Lưu trữ và bảo mật

Kết nối đến máy chủ của Bập Bẹ được mã hóa bằng HTTPS. Phiên đăng nhập được lưu trong Keychain (iOS) hoặc Keystore (Android); từ và ảnh còn có bản trên điện thoại. Dữ liệu tài khoản được giữ để cung cấp dịch vụ cho đến khi bạn xóa tài khoản; tài khoản không tự bị xóa khi lâu không dùng.

Cơ sở dữ liệu được sao lưu hằng ngày và mỗi bản giữ 30 ngày; bản sao lưu không bị sửa bởi thao tác xóa trong app. Nhà cung cấp bên thứ ba có thời hạn lưu trữ riêng; xóa tài khoản Bập Bẹ không tự xóa tài khoản Apple/Google hoặc hồ sơ thanh toán của họ.

Quyền của bạn và xóa tài khoản

Xem và mang dữ liệu đi: các từ của bạn nằm trong Bộ sưu tập; để xuất ra tệp CSV, vào Cài đặt → tên của bạn (dòng đầu tiên) → Xuất các từ của tôi.
Chia sẻ: tắt Chia sẻ từ mới của tôi, rời nhóm (từ bạn chia sẻ trong nhóm rời khỏi nhóm), xóa bạn, ẩn, chặn hoặc bỏ chặn ngay trong app.
Xóa tài khoản: vào Cài đặt → tên của bạn (dòng đầu tiên) → Xóa tài khoản và xác nhận. Nếu chưa đăng nhập, hãy chọn Cài đặt → Đăng nhập trước; từ trên máy vẫn được giữ trong tài khoản đó. Bập Bẹ xóa tài khoản và mọi dữ liệu gắn với nó khỏi cơ sở dữ liệu đang hoạt động: từ, nhật ký học, lựa chọn, nhóm, từ đã chia sẻ, ghi chú, phản hồi, bạn bè, chặn, báo cáo bạn đã gửi, trạng thái Pro và phiên đăng nhập; ảnh, sticker và bản ghi nói lại trên R2 bị xóa ngay sau đó (nếu lỗi thì lần dọn dẹp hằng ngày xóa tiếp), và quyền Đăng nhập bằng Apple được thu hồi. Điện thoại thực hiện xóa cũng xóa dữ liệu trên máy. Vẫn còn lại: bản sao nội dung trong báo cáo người khác đã gửi về bạn, bản sao lưu cho đến khi hết hạn, và nhật ký truy cập.
Gia hạn Pro: xóa tài khoản không hủy thuê bao. Nếu có thuê bao tự gia hạn, hãy hủy trong Cài đặt iOS → Tài khoản Apple → Đăng ký, hoặc Google Play → Thanh toán và gói thuê bao → Gói thuê bao trên Android, để tránh tiếp tục bị tính phí; bạn vẫn có thể xóa tài khoản ngay.
Trợ giúp hoặc yêu cầu dữ liệu: gửi email tới nguyenthithuytrang08072007@gmail.com, ví dụ để xóa một ghi chú bạn đã chia sẻ. Không cần gửi email để hoàn tất việc xóa tài khoản trong app.

Trẻ em và thay đổi chính sách

Bập Bẹ không dành cho trẻ dưới 13 tuổi và không cố ý thu thập dữ liệu của trẻ em. Khi chính sách thay đổi, bản mới được đăng tại địa chỉ này kèm ngày cập nhật.

Bập Bẹ helps adults learn Vietnamese from the things around them: snap an object, hear its Vietnamese name, and say it until the tones feel right. Bập Bẹ is made by Peakvailon. Privacy contact: nguyenthithuytrang08072007@gmail.com.

Data and how it is used

Account: on first launch Bập Bẹ creates an anonymous account tied to your phone; the phone's secret is kept in the Keychain/Keystore and the server keeps only its hash. When you sign in with Apple or Google, Bập Bẹ stores the sign-in identifier, any email and name provided, and your login sessions; for Apple it also stores the token needed to revoke Sign in with Apple when you delete your account. The server also records when the app last connected, its version and platform (iOS/Android), for support and to know when older versions can be retired.
Your words and photos: the words you save, the original photos you take or pick, the stickers cut from them, your practice log (practice sessions, streak, review level) and your choices (language, Southern/Northern Vietnamese, learning goal, sharing new words, reminder time). Bập Bẹ keeps them on your phone and synchronizes them with your account, so they follow you to another phone or a reinstall. Photos and stickers are stored on Cloudflare R2 in your account's own folder; only your account can get links to them.
AI naming: when you snap something, your phone cuts the object out of the photo (Apple Vision on iOS, Google ML Kit on Android) and sends only the cut-out, with the English name the phone guessed, to Bập Bẹ's server; the original photo is never sent to the AI. When you type or search a word, the text you type is sent. The server passes it through the Vercel AI Gateway to an AI model provider for the Vietnamese name, meaning and example sentence, and does not keep the cut-out. The answer, and words typed to get it, are kept in the app's shared dictionary, not linked to any account, so the next request is answered at once. The server counts each account's AI requests per day to apply the plan's limit.
Voice: Bập Bẹ checks your tones on your phone by measuring the pitch of your voice; it does not use speech recognition. While you practise, your voice never leaves your phone. A recording is sent only when you choose Say it back on a friend's word: that recording is stored on Cloudflare R2 and, besides you, only the person whose word it is can hear it, unless either of you has blocked the other. Sample pronunciations use the Vietnamese voice built into your phone.
Friends and groups: your display name (the one you set, or the name Apple/Google provided if you haven't set one), icon, streak, the groups you join, words you share, replies (reactions, say-back scores), "Heard from locals" notes (the Vietnamese phrase, meaning, and the place, city and speaker you pick), "Useful" marks, things you hide, people you block, and reports with their reason. Friends and group members see your name, streak and the words you share, not your photos. New words are shared with friends unless you turn off Share my new words in Settings. Notes are shown, with your name, to every learner who has that word.
Moderation: reports go to Bập Bẹ's moderation team. They may remove content or restrict an account: a restricted account can still learn, but cannot share, and others no longer see it. A report keeps a copy of the reported content, even after the content is removed or its author's account is deleted. Every admin action is recorded in an admin log; when the moderation team deletes an account, the log keeps that account's name, sign-in method and counts (no email).
Pro plan: Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) and RevenueCat process transactions and subscription status. Bập Bẹ uses your account ID as your RevenueCat user ID and stores your Pro entitlement, expiration, trial and purchase events to update your plan. Bập Bẹ does not receive your payment card number.
Operations: like any request to the server, your IP address, the path, response code and timing appear in the access log for about 30 days; server errors are written to the application log. To stop abuse, the server counts requests per account and by a one-way hash of your IP address, and deletes those counts after a day.

On your phone

Lock screen wallpapers and widgets are made on your phone. On iOS, Bập Bẹ saves those pictures to a Words album in Photos so your lock screen can shuffle through them; on Android they stay in the app's storage, where the live wallpaper reads them. Widgets may show your words and words your friends share. Study reminders are scheduled on your phone; Bập Bẹ does not send push notifications from its server.

Permissions and processors

Bập Bẹ asks for the camera to snap objects, the microphone to hear you and check your tones, access to Photos (iOS) to create and update the Words album, and notifications when you turn on reminders. Apart from the Words album, Bập Bẹ reads only the photos you pick through the system picker, and it does not use your location. You can manage permissions in your device's Settings.

Processors include Apple (sign-in, App Store, system features), Google (if you choose Google sign-in, Google Play, ML Kit), Vercel (AI Gateway) and the AI model providers used, Cloudflare (network and R2 storage), RevenueCat (Pro subscriptions), and Bập Bẹ's server hosting infrastructure. These parties may process data outside your country and apply their own retention policies.

Bập Bẹ does not sell personal data, display advertising or use data to track you across other apps or websites.

Storage and security

Connections to Bập Bẹ's servers are encrypted with HTTPS. Login sessions are stored in the Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android); your words and photos also have a copy on your phone. Account data is kept to provide the service until you delete your account; accounts are not deleted automatically when unused.

The database is backed up daily and each backup is kept for 30 days; backups are not rewritten by in-app deletion. Third-party providers have their own retention periods; deleting a Bập Bẹ account does not automatically delete your Apple/Google account or their payment records.

Your choices and account deletion

See and take your data: your words are in your Collection; to export them as a CSV file, go to Settings → your name (the first row) → Export my words.
Sharing: turn off Share my new words, leave a group (words you shared there leave with you), remove a friend, hide, block or unblock right in the app.
Delete your account: go to Settings → your name (the first row) → Delete account and confirm. If you haven't signed in, choose Settings → Sign in first; the words on your phone stay with that account. Bập Bẹ removes your account and everything linked to it from its active database: words, practice log, choices, groups, shared words, notes, replies, friends, blocks, reports you made, Pro status and login sessions; photos, stickers and say-back recordings on R2 are deleted right after (if that fails, the daily cleanup finishes it), and Sign in with Apple is revoked. The phone that deletes the account also clears its local data. What remains: copies of content in reports others made about you, backups until they expire, and the access log.
Pro renewal: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. If you have an auto-renewing subscription, cancel it in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android, to prevent further billing; you may still delete your account immediately.
Help or data requests: email nguyenthithuytrang08072007@gmail.com, for example to remove a note you shared. Email is not required to complete the in-app account deletion.

Children and policy changes

Bập Bẹ is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. When this policy changes, the updated version is published here with its update date.
